Jurassic World 3 star Bryce Dallas Howard has shown off some pretty gnarly looking bruises from her work on the upcoming film. Officially titled Jurassic World: Dominion, it marks the third and final outing for the Jurassic World trilogy. The film has also been the subject of much attention as of late, as it was one of a handful of productions that went back to work despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
After shutting down production on Jurassic World 3 in London this past March due to the escalating pandemic, director Colin Trevorrow made it clear that he was still working on the sequel from home. However, it wasn’t until earlier this month that things officially got underway once more. This apparent good news was short lived when it was recently revealed that production had once again been shut down – on the first day back, no less – as a result of one of the crew members testing positive for COVID-19. The news was quickly squashed in official statements from both Universal Pictures and Trevorrow, and now even star Bryce Dallas Howard is sharing visual proof she’s back on set and hard at work.
In a post of Twitter, Bryce Dallas Howard shared a small selection of photos that show off the end results of her having done some stunt work. The extensive patchwork of bruises on display don’t seem to bother Howard, however, who can be seen grinning in the photos alongside the caption: “Raise your hands if you’re happy to be doing stunts again!!” You can check out all the photos below:
After months of being unable to work on the film, it’s understandable why Howard would feel fortunate to once again be back on the set. Even if it means doing stunt work that apparently causes considerable bruising, Howard is certainly eager to prove that she’s all in on Jurassic World 3. If there’s one good thing to be said about Howard’s extensive bruises, it’s that the 39-year-old isn’t afraid of going all in for the betterment of Dominion.
As the final installment in the Jurassic World trilogy (but not the Jurassic Park franchise), much has been promised for the upcoming Dominion. For instances, dinosaurs are reportedly going to be taking over a variety of locations around the world, including those with snowy climates. In fact, recent news has revealed Dominion includes a plane crash in the Arctic, but exactly how or why this continues the spread of dinosaurs is presently anyone’s guess.
Whatever happens with the film, it’s encouraging to know that this doesn’t appear to be a phoned in sequel, rushed into theaters for a quick cash-in. Trevorrow clearly wants to go out big with Jurassic World 3, and so far it’s really looking as though Jurassic World: Dominion will take the franchise to places that it’s never been before. That’s a very encouraging prospect for a series that is now getting set to release its sixth film since 1993.
